CAPTURE THE SOUL OF YOUR PET ON CANVAS

I paint and draw photorealistic pet portraits that bring the character of your beloved friend alive on canvas.

Book consultation

From an in depth consultation with you, I aim to capture the essence of your pets character, from the faithfulness of your dog to the strength of your horse. My photorealistic drawings and paintings capture a moment in time, for you to cherish for generations to come.

How do I capture your pet's personality?

During our consultation I will ask you many questions about your pet, and we will discover the things that make them tick and the character that you want to capture in the pet portrait. I can do this either in-person, where I will also take some initial photos, or we can work remotely via video call and I can create your pets portraits from a picture supplied.

How to take the right photo for your pet portrait

I will paint directly from your selected photo, so it's important the picture you send me is crisp and detailed, just like the image below. TIP: Take the picture at eye level and zoom in nice and tight as much as possible, so the camera picks up as much detail as possible. The better the photo, the better the painting!

“A dog will teach you unconditional love. If you have that in your life, things won't be too hard.”

How to work with me on your pet portrait

  1. Arrange an initial consultation - we will discuss your pet and your budget
  2. We decide if it's purely remote or if you'd like me to visit you and your pet.
  3. We agree the feeling, the character and composition of the piece your desire.
  4. I then begin creating!
  5. You get an initial drafted image created on Photoshop, to make any amendments.
  6. Once agreed - I then paint or draw your final pet portrait piece.
  7. You then have a moment in time, the essence of your beloved pet, captured in time, forever. To be shared with generations to come.

"Animals are such agreeable friends - they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms".

– George Eliot
